Let’s now talk about some of the cool features of the Withings BPM Connect:
• It’s wireless!
• USB port charges the built-in rechargeable battery of the blood pressure monitor
• The USB port is a standard port – no expensive proprietary cables to lose.
• It truly is portable – and I travel a lot, so portability is important for me.
• It’s wireless, and not just bluetooth. It also has built-in WiFi. This means you can take your blood pressure without having your phone next to you and it stills syncs!
• Let’s talk about syncing – it using the Withings Health Mate app – the same app I have been using with my Withings scale. Each morning I weigh myself and my scale syncs via wifi, and each time I use the Withings BPM Connect to check my blood pressure, it syncs over wifi to the exact same app.
• The app is super easy to use, is very visual, syncs with my Apple Health app, AND even lets me share my health report with my doctor.
• Syncing reliably is critical – I’ve used so many other blood pressure monitors that required my phone right next to the big bulky machine and they wouldn’t always sync. Bad syncing will discourage you from taking your blood pressure consistently and we need that consistency to manage our blood pressure, our kidneys are counting on it. I absolutely love that the Withings BPM Connect syncs via Bluetooth and Wifi – it has never missed syncing.
This little guy is the perfect blood pressure monitor for kidney health. It’s small, lightweight doesn’t have some big box with power cables and tubes, and it last for months and months on a single charge. You can even fit it in your backpack or heck, your pocket! The app is great and it’s easy to share your results with your health care team.
All kidney patients have to monitor and manage their blood pressure. Having a device at home to do that isn’t an option, it’s a requirement. I continue to take my blood pressure multiple times a day just to make sure my prescriptions are working correctly.
